Car service in Thornbury
AutoworkX is at 1/87 Newlands Road, Coburg North, VIC 3058, west of Thornbury on the far side of the Merri Creek. Logbook servicing, brakes, tyres and engine diagnostics, every make welcome.

The trip west crosses the creek, not the city
Thornbury sits on the Preston side of the creek, so the trip to us runs across it rather than through town. Bell Street is the straight line west, and from there it is a short run north into Coburg North to reach Newlands Road.
If you catch the train back after dropping the car off, Thornbury station is on the Mernda line and the 86 tram runs the length of High Street.
Traffic on High Street is hard on brake pads
Brakes come up often with cars that spend their week in stop and start traffic on High Street and St Georges Road. Constant braking at low speed wears pads faster than open road driving does, so we measure pads and discs, check the fluid, and tell you how much life is left before you commit to anything.
Servicing is the other steady one, usually on cars bought new and kept well past the first few intervals. The schedule we work to is the one for that model rather than a generic checklist, and the logbook servicing page sets out what is in a logbook service and what sits outside it.
Tell us when you need the car back
Say at booking what time you need it, and we will tell you straight away whether the job fits that window or needs the full day. That is a better conversation to have on the phone than at four o'clock.
There is a lounge inside if the work is short enough to wait for.
Leave the dash light showing
If a light is on, leave it on. The stored fault is what the scan tool reads, and clearing it before the car arrives throws away the evidence we would have started from.
Bring the logbook if the car came with a printed one, and check the kilometres on the dash before you leave home. Those two decide which interval is due.
There is a Saturday if the week does not suit
We are open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm, closed Sunday. Call the mobile on 0451 109 786, the workshop on 03 7054 8232, or send a message on WhatsApp.
