An independent workshop on Newlands Road in Coburg North. Dealership training, independent prices, and the mechanic on the other side of the counter.
Who we are
AutoworkX is an independent mechanical workshop at 1/87 Newlands Road, Coburg North, VIC 3058. Before it opened, five years were spent working in a dealership service department, which is where the logbook discipline comes from: the schedule is followed, the parts meet the specification, and the record is written down properly.
What changed is who you deal with. There is no service adviser relaying messages. You talk to the person who had your car on the hoist, and you get a quote before any extra work rather than a surprise on the invoice.
VACC member, Castrol partner
We are a member of the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce, and the sign is on the shopfront. Castrol is our oil partner, which is why the workshop carries the grades and approvals that European cars call for rather than one general oil for everything.
We are not a licensed roadworthy tester, and we say so plainly on the roadworthy page rather than leaving it implied.
European and prestige, and every other make
Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Mini are a large part of the week. Japanese, Korean and Chinese makes are on the hoists alongside them. All makes are welcome, and nothing here is turned away for being ordinary.
The workshop
Two-post hoists, a clean floor, tyres in stock, and a lounge if you would rather wait than arrange a lift. Hours are 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday. Closed Sunday.
