Bell Street is the only crossing you need

Preston is directly east of us and the creek is the only real obstacle. Bell Street carries you west out of the High Street end and over into Coburg, and we are north of it on Newlands Road, east of Sydney Road. You never have to join the ring road or fight the length of a shopping strip to get to us.

Logbooks and warning lights come over the creek

Servicing on cars still inside their warranty period is steady work from this side of the creek. It is done to the manufacturer's schedule, the book is stamped, and the invoice names the oil grade and every filter, so the history holds up if a dealer ever asks to see it.

Engine diagnostics is the other one. A check engine light is a stored fault code, not a diagnosis, so we read the code and then test the part it points at before anything is replaced. Leave the light on rather than clearing it, because clearing the fault takes the evidence with it.

The school run decides the timing

If your drop-off has to fit around a school gate, say so when you book and the car goes on a hoist early in the day rather than late. The same goes for a car that has to be back before the afternoon run. If the job grows once it is on the hoist, you get a call with a price before we carry on, not an invoice afterwards.

A stored code beats a guess

For a warning light, the fault does not have to be showing when you arrive, because the stored code is enough to start from. For a noise or a vibration, tell us the speed it turns up at and whether it changes when you brake or turn the wheel. For a service, the logbook and the kilometres on the dash. Small details, but they decide where we start looking.

We work Saturdays too

Doors are open 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, and closed on Sunday. Ring the mobile on 0451 109 786 or the workshop on 03 7054 8232, or send a WhatsApp message and we will confirm a day.

Common questions

My car keeps its service record digitally. How does that work?
Tell us the make and the year when you book. What a workshop can update varies by manufacturer, so we will say how your service gets recorded before you commit to a day rather than after the work is done. Either way the invoice itemises every part and oil used, and that is the evidence a warranty question actually turns on.
My check engine light is on but the car drives fine. Is it urgent?
Get it read soon rather than leaving it. Some codes are minor, and some are a misfire that will cook a catalytic converter if you keep driving on it, and the light looks identical either way. We scan the car, test the circuit or part that the code points at, and tell you which of the two you are dealing with.
Can you stamp my logbook instead of the dealer?
Yes. We service to the manufacturer's schedule with parts and oils that meet the specification, stamp the book and itemise the work on the invoice, which is what the warranty conditions actually ask for. Bring the book with you on the day and it comes back to you stamped.
Do you work on Japanese cars?
Every week. Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi are straightforward cars to service properly, and we keep to the schedule the maker set for your model rather than a generic one. European, Korean and Chinese makes come through just as often, so tell us what you drive when you ring.
