Car service in Hadfield
AutoworkX is on Newlands Road in Coburg North, one suburb south-east of Hadfield. Logbook servicing, engine diagnostics, brakes, tyres and mechanical repairs for every make.

Hadfield sits a couple of turns off Sydney Road
Head east out of Hadfield until you hit Sydney Road, then turn south. Newlands Road is on your left before you reach the Coburg shops, and we are along on that road.
Hadfield has no station of its own, so most people here drive everywhere and the car racks up suburban kilometres rather than highway ones. That kind of driving is harder on a car than it looks.
Hadfield cars turn up with flat batteries more than anything else
Short trips are the pattern around here, and short trips are what kill batteries. The engine never runs long enough to put back what starting took out, so the battery goes flat on the first cold morning. We test the battery, the charging system and the draw on the car before we sell you a new one, because a flat battery is sometimes a symptom rather than the fault.
Warning lights are the other common call. The car gets plugged into the scan tool, the stored fault is read, and then it is checked against what the car is actually doing. A code points at a circuit, not at a part, so the diagnosis carries on from there.
Nothing gets done that you have not agreed to
When you book, say whether you are waiting, leaving the car, or need it back by a set hour. That is what decides whether it goes on the hoist first thing or behind the jobs already in.
We ring before any extra work goes ahead, with what was found and what it costs.
The symptom tells us more than the code does
If the car is slow to start, say so, and say whether it is slow when cold, hot or both. If a light came on, tell us what you were doing at the time. Leave the light showing rather than disconnecting the battery to clear it.
Bring the logbook if there is one, and the current kilometres.
