The oil approval is not a detail
A European engine does not just ask for a viscosity. The book names an approval, and an oil that looks close enough on the shelf is not the same oil. Long intervals are where that catches up with an engine.

Getting past that means reading live data and testing the suspect part before condemning it, which is the difference between replacing one coil and replacing six. What we can read varies from car to car, so we confirm that first too.
