Chinese car service in Coburg North
MG, BYD, GWM Haval, Chery and LDV are welcome here. We follow the schedule in the book, stamp it, and say plainly what we can and cannot do on your model.

These makes are newer to Australian roads than the badges most workshops grew up with. The schedule still tells you what to check and what to change, and the book gets stamped the same way it is on anything else.
Model ranges here change quickly, so before you book we would rather confirm what your car needs than promise in advance and find out on the day.
None of these cars is a mystery under the bonnet
MG, GWM Haval and Chery bring the hatches and the SUVs, LDV the vans and utes, and BYD arrives with a very different drivetrain to the rest.
Whichever one you drive, the routine items are recognisable: oil and filter where there is an engine, brakes, tyres, suspension, cooling, and the inspections the schedule lists.

We follow the book, not a guess
Every one of these cars ships with a service schedule, and that schedule is what keeps the factory warranty intact. You do not have to return to the dealer for it. The work has to match the schedule and the parts have to meet the specification, which an independent workshop can do.
So we work from your book rather than a generic service list. The interval is quoted from the kilometres on your dash, the book is stamped, and the invoice names the oil grade and every part fitted.
Petrol, hybrid and electric are not the same job
A petrol MG and an electric BYD share tyres, brakes, suspension, steering, cabin filters and a twelve volt battery, and all of that is normal workshop work. What differs is anything attached to a high voltage system.
Rather than make a blanket claim, tell us the model and year when you book. We confirm what we can take on, and if part of the job belongs somewhere else you hear that before you drive over.
When a warning light comes up
Diagnostics on a newer make comes down to tooling coverage. Reading a code is the easy half. Seeing live data from the right module, and knowing what a normal reading looks like on that car, is the half that finds the fault instead of replacing parts in hope.
Ring before you book a diagnostic job on one of these cars and we will check coverage for your model first. 0451 109 786 reaches the mobile, 03 7054 8232 is the workshop line.
Tell us the model and we confirm the job before you drive over
Send the model, the build year and the kilometres from the dash, along with the logbook or the digital service record if you have it to hand. If the car is still inside its factory warranty, say so when you book, because that decides which interval we quote.
